Fosfomycin is an antibiotic. It is used to treat uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) such as acute cystitis or bladder infection in women. It is particularly effective against certain types of bacteria, such as escherichia coli and enterococcus faecalis, which commonly cause UTIs.
Dosage and direction
Take this medicine by mouth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Mix the contents of package in 3 to 4 ounces (1/2 cup) of cold water, stir well and drink. Take this medicine with food or on an empty stomach. Do not take your medicine more often than directed.
Precautions

Missed dose
If you forgot to take Fosfomycin, take it as soon as you remember. If the time for the next dosage is close, it is recommended to skip the missed one now and resume your regular dosage pattern. Never increase your dosage without consulting your doctor.
Overdose
